Postdoctoral researcher and teaching staff member at the University of Patras, Greece, specializing in renewable energy systems and sustainable urban development. Dr. Skandalos holds a PhD in Environmental and Natural Resources Management from the University of Patras, an MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, UK, and a BSc in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. With extensive experience in building-integrated photovoltaics, solar technologies, and energy optimization in buildings, Dr. Skandalos previously served as a senior researcher at the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings, Czech Technical University in Prague, contributing to multiple high-impact European projects focused on advanced solar technologies and energy-efficient building designs. He also teaches courses on Sustainable Building Design, sharing his expertise with students in environmental and building engineering.
